Dell Launches AI Acceleration Platform Powered by Nvidia Blackwell

Dell Technologies utilized their Dell Technologies World event in Las Vegas to unveil their newest generation of servers focused on AI acceleration, featuring Nvidia's advanced Blackwell Ultra GPUs.

These new systems reportedly offer AI training speeds up to four times faster than previous models. This development is part of Dell's effort to grow its AI Factory collaboration with Nvidia in light of the intense rivalry in the business AI hardware sector.

The arrival of these servers aligns with organizations transitioning from experimental AI initiatives to full-scale implementation, necessitating more robust computing infrastructure.

The refreshed lineup showcases air-cooled PowerEdge XE9780 and XE9785 servers for standard data centers, along with liquid-cooled XE9780L and XE9785L models, tailored for full-rack setups.

These cutting-edge servers can accommodate configurations of up to 192 Nvidia Blackwell Ultra GPUs with direct-to-chip liquid cooling, expandable to 256 GPUs per Dell IR7000 rack.
