Mistral AI Enhances Le Chat with Voice Recognition and Advanced Research Tools

Mistral AI has enhanced Le Chat with features like voice recognition and intricate research tools to boost its effectiveness as an assistant.

The company is of the view that the finest AI assistants should encourage deeper thinking and sustain conversation flow. Mistral AI claims that their chatbots excel by enabling deeper exploration of thoughts and maintaining seamless conversational transitions.

A notable new feature, albeit competing with similar offerings, is the ‘Deep Research’ mode, turning Le Chat into a personal research assistant.

When faced with a complex inquiry, the Deep Research tool dissects the question, sources credible information, and crafts a structured report, making comprehension straightforward. Mistral aims for it to feel like collaborating with a well-organized colleague, assisting in various topics from market insights to scientific discussions.

If you prefer speaking over typing, the newly introduced ‘Vocal’ mode caters to that need.

Utilizing Mistral AI’s advanced voice model, Voxtral, the Vocal mode supports natural, low-delay conversations, allowing seamless interaction with Le Chat. It’s ideal for brainstorming during a walk, getting quick responses when multitasking, or transcribing meeting notes.

For more complicated queries on Le Chat, the ‘Think’ mode uses Mistral AI’s reasoning model, Magistral, to deliver concise, well-considered responses.

A major highlight of Think mode is its native multilingual capability, enabling users to draft proposals in Spanish, delve into legal nuances in Japanese, or brainstorm in any preferred language. Le Chat can even switch languages mid-conversation.

To aid organization, the ‘Projects’ feature lets you categorize related chats into dedicated folders. Each project keeps settings intact and organizes all chats, documents, and ideas in one place, ideal for managing tasks like a house move or a prolonged work endeavor.

In collaboration with Black Forest Labs, Mistral AI has integrated advanced image editing in Le Chat. Users can create and then modify images with simple commands such as “remove the object” or “place me in another city.”

Unlike standard text-to-image software, this feature allows you to craft and edit visuals easily, commanding changes like “remove the object” or “place me in another city” while ensuring the scene remains detailed. It’s perfect for uniform edits. pic.twitter.com/JmveDlQCzv

All these exciting new features are accessible on Le Chat via the web or through the mobile app download.
